The T2 pivot portion is mounted above the door. With the stacked mortise arm flush into ceiling. The T2 hinge is mainly used in an applications where the door will run right up to a ceiling. ( see v1, v1-1, v1-2, v1-3, v1-4).
The D1 pivot portion is mortised into the top of the door. The D1 mortise is down deeper than usual to allows for the T2 pivot portion to work correctly with the D1 (see V1-5). Changes can be made to the size, projection and placement of the pivot hinge if need be at time of order.
